About Me

I'm a writer and teacher with 20 years of experience working for New York publishing houses including Time Inc., Condé Nast, and Scholastic. For 10 years, I worked as a senior writer and researcher with the custom publishing division of Time Inc, creating print and online content for non-profit organizations and corporations. I have written biographies for noteworthy individuals and interviewed leaders in the field of health and medicine.

As a faculty member at the Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence College and an adjunct professor at Pace University, I teach nonfiction writing workshops. I have also worked independently with authors as a ghostwriter, writing coach, and book editor. My academic background includes an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from Sarah Lawrence College and a degree in History from Syracuse University. I have roots in the nonprofit sector, working for environmental and human rights organizations, and at Lincoln Center’s New York City Opera. For ten years, I trained as a classical pianist with my last performance at the age of 17 at Carnegie Hall Recital Studio. I have also been fortunate to have lived and traveled throughout the world.

In 2008, I founded my business, which focused on writing family histories for private publication. Inspired by the people I met, and the work I was doing, in 2014 I launched Storyguide Incorporated. The mission of Storyguide is to help people around the globe tell their personal and professional stories.
